ACC levies and premiums

Employees and employers make payments to the Accident Compensation Corporation (ACC) to cover insurance for accidents and injuries.

Payments employees make are called ACC earner premiums

ACC earner premiums are built into PAYE tax tables. The Inland Revenue collects premiums for ACC when pay centres pay salaries and wages.

Payments schools make are called levies

The Ministry of Education calculates levies before your pay centre deducts them from your school's bank account once a year.
