How to import 2010 pay periods into
e-Reliever

If you use e-Reliever, you need to import the 2010 pay periods into your spreadsheet before you can use it in 2010. Use these instructions to import the pay periods.

Instructions

1a. Save the 2010 pay period file in the same folder as your e-Reliever spreadsheet. Do not open it.

1b. The dialogue box below will have the default file name to save as “erelief PayPeriods 2010”. This needs to be changed to "PayPeriods.xls".

2. Open your e-Reliever spreadsheet. Select create files.

3. This dialogue box will show. Select update file location.

4. Find the pay period file you have just saved. Select the file name, then save.

5. This dialogue box will show. Ensure that the file is saved in your C: Drive. Select OK.

6. Close this dialogue box.

7. Select update employees.

8. This dialogue box will show. Select import/export files.

9. This dialogue box will show. Select pay periods, then OK, then close.

10. Your screen should flash a couple of times. Once this has happened, close out of all screens in e-Reliever and close e-Reliever.

It is important to close e-Reliever so the newly imported information is loaded and saved.

11. Open e-Reliever to check you have loaded the 2010 pay periods. Select create files. This dialogue box will show. Use the drop-down arrow to check 2010 pay periods.
