The principals career payment is an allowance for Area and Secondary principals that have met the eligibility criteria set out in the respective collective agreements. It is paid fortnightly additional to the principal's base salary.
The principals career allowance is an allowance for an Area or Secondary principal who has completed 3, 6 and 9 years of current continuous service as a principal and has met and maintained the principal's professional standards as affirmed by boards at each of the thresholds.
Education Service Payroll will send a letter to the Board of Trustees when the principal has completed the required number of continuous years of service. The Chairperson of the Board of Trustees will then confirm if the principal has met and maintained the principal's professional standards.
