There are two different statements of service we refer to in the education sector. These are:
A statement of service from a pay centre is a record of the work the teacher has done in New Zealand state schools.
Teachers usually apply for a statement of service from their pay centre before they leave New Zealand to teach overseas. The two choices they have are:

A statement of service from a previous employer is a record of the work the teacher has done in that role.
A previous employer might be:
Teachers contact their previous employer to get this type of statement of service.
Teachers can use certified true copies of their statements of service to support their salary assessment application.
