Use this form to apply for a Māori immersion teacher allowance (MITA) for teaching staff.
When to use this form
Use this form to apply for a Māori immersion teacher allowance (MITA) for teaching staff who:
- are employed under the Secondary Teachers' Collective Agreement
- are employed on a permanent, part-time, fixed-term or official job-share basis
- deliver the curriculum for at least 6 timetabled hours per week in approved immersion programmes at Māori immersion levels 1, 2 or 3
- hold current registration (either Full, STC or Provisional) or a current Limited Authority to Teach (LAT).
What you will need to complete the form
You will need the teacher's:
- MOE number
- personal details
- NZTC registration number or LAT number (copies of LATs must be provided with application)
- immersion hours per week.
