Sending payroll forms and information - guidelines for payroll administrators

Send information by email

We recommend you send all payroll information by email.

Read rules about sending by email

Tell payroll about changes immediately

As soon as you've made a change to your employee’s pay or your employee tells you about a change to their personal details, let your pay centre know.

Don't hold on to changes until payroll cut-off day otherwise your pay centre may not be able to action all your changes in time for payday.

Put a bring-up date in your diary for information you send in advance

If you send information to your pay centre well-in-advance, use a bring-up system to check the information is still correct closer to the date the information takes effect. It is your responsibility to let your pay centre know if any information changes.
