The rate for adult workers increases from $12 to $12.50 an hour, and the rate for new entrants and trainees increases from $9.60 to $10 an hour from 1 April. Your pay centre will automatically increase pay rates to these new minimum legal wages from 1 April.

This letter had an error. Keep the IR330s that employees give you when they change their tax codes for the IETC: do not send them to your pay centre. The process for changing an employee’s tax code for the IETC is the same as any tax code change.

PAYE for your employees changes on 1 April because of changes to personal income tax rates and ACC earner premiums.
If you have a special tax code employee you will have received a letter or email from Datacom asking you to confirm what their tax code is for the next tax year. This information is due back at your pay centre by 5pm 30 March.

View fortnightly calendar events in a table
You now have the choice of two payroll calendars to use: a new calendar which shows regular fortnightly payroll events in a table, and the existing calendar which shows payroll events in a list.
The new calendar lets you pick up to three regularly occurring fortnightly events - for example pay instruction closedowns, e-Reliever closedowns, paydays - within a date range. It displays in a handy table format, similar to what you have used in previous years.
The existing calendar now lets you pick which payroll events to display in the list.
Thanks to all payroll administrators who gave us feedback and helped with the testing.
