We are pleased to bring you the new school payroll website.

New features include:

  • a homepage that shows important payroll dates that are coming up, and the latest news

  • calendars you can sort by pay period, date, and event (eg by payday)
  • forms you can filter by employee type
  • handy step-by-step guides to help you with your forms and reports
  • quick links
  • a search box.

The site will evolve as we add more information to it.

Superannuation changes take effect 1 October 2008

We sent letters to each school on 22 September 2008 about KiwiSaver changes that come into force from 1 October 2008, and the changes to the KiwiSaver Act.

From 1 October 2008, boards must automatically enrol all new employees who meet the automatic enrolment provisions of KiwiSaver.

Updated payroll forms

We have released a new version of all forms. In this version we have:

  • removed shading on all main headings
  • changed the pay centre names to Education Payroll [city]
  • added "School authoriser cannot sign changes to their own pay" to the signature fields.

Other key changes:

  • We have added KiwiSaver information to the New Appointment Form for Teaching Staff ESP1t and New Appointment Form for Non-Teaching Staff ESP1nt.
  • We have removed classification group from Pay Details Change Form for Non-Teaching Staff ESP2nt and Pay Details Change Form for Teaching Staff ESP2.
  • We have updated the payslip field on the Personal Details Change Form ESP3. Use this to change how your employee wants to receive their payslip.
  • We have added 2 more email fields to the Authorised Email Sign-up Form for Schools ESP5s.
  • We have added information about senior management allowances to the New Appointment Form for Teaching Staff ESP1t, Pay Details Change Form for Teaching Staff ESP2 and Teaching Unit/Payment Allowance/Allowance Change Form for Teaching Staff ESP16t.
